Made to order — what that means

Most UGHC pieces do not exist until you order them. Production begins after purchase and, for tailored sets, after we confirm your measurements (within 48 hours of receiving them). This is slow fashion on purpose: no overproduction, no warehouse stock, one of one every time.

Production times (before shipping)

Tailored bespoke sets (Batik Ikat, Rainbow Ikat, Jute, Afrocentric Vest & Trouser): 3–5 weeks from purchase / measurement confirmation

Black Leather Statement Bag: 3–4 weeks

African Mask Print Vest & Skirt Set: 1–2 weeks

Logo tees, tanks, headband, press-on nails, and any item marked “in stock”: 3–5 business days

The timeline on your product page and at checkout is the one that applies to your order. If an item is marked pre-order, that week range is the production time.

Shipping times (after production, in transit)

U.S. domestic: USPS, typically 3–5 business days after shipment

International: DHL, typically 7–10 business days after shipment

Tracking: emailed to you the moment your piece ships. Use the carrier link in that email for live updates.

Worldwide shipping

Yes — we ship to most countries worldwide. International rates and delivery estimates are calculated at checkout by destination. Import duties and taxes for international orders may apply on delivery and are the buyer's responsibility unless stated otherwise at checkout.

Perfect Fit or We Remake It

On eligible tailored sets marked with this promise: if your piece does not fit the measurements you provided, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your measurements. Our artisan studio will alter or remake it free of charge. This promise covers fit against confirmed measurements and construction quality — it does not cover change of mind on a custom piece.

Returns & exchanges

Custom / made-to-order pieces (all tailored sets, handmade crochet, custom nails): final sale. If anything is wrong with construction, contact us within 7 days of delivery — we will repair, alter, or remake it. That is our promise.

Non-custom in-stock items (logo tees, tanks, headband, in-stock bags/nails as marked): 30-day returns on unused items in original packaging. Contact customer service first to initiate a return; do not ship without authorization.

Hygiene items (press-on nails): final sale unless defective on arrival.

Gift wrapping: available at checkout for a small fee where marked.

Damaged or wrong item

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We respond within 24 hours (24–48 hours on weekends / Etsy-origin orders) and will make it right.
