THE FABRIC

This set is made from an adire-inspired
resist-dye print fabric in deep indigo blue,
warm cream, and natural tan tones.

Adire is a Yoruba resist-dye tradition from
Nigeria — one of West Africa's oldest textile
arts. Fabric is bound, stitched, or painted
with starch before dyeing, creating the
characteristic organic dot and cluster
patterns you see in this fabric. The same
resist-dye logic was developed independently
in Japan (shibori) and across Southeast Asia
— because some human impulses toward
beauty are universal.

The dotted, slightly irregular pattern in
this fabric is the visual signature of that
tradition. No two placements are identical.
Your set will have its own natural variation
in pattern placement compared to the photos.
That is not a flaw. That is the nature of
resist-dye aesthetics.
